(Construction) - The Department of Planning and Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued an announcement inviting design consulting firms to participate in the international competition for planning and architectural ideas for the Binh Quoi - Thanh Da Peninsula in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms. Pham Thi Dieu Thuy, Deputy Director of the Planning Information Center (Department of Planning and Architecture), stated that this is an international competition in Ho Chi Minh City for domestic and international construction design con consulting firms with the required professional capacity and practicing according to current legal regulations.
The research scope for the competition includes the entire Binh Quoi - Thanh Da Peninsula, a section of the Saigon River, and some areas opposite the Saigon River (especially the Thu Thiem New Urban Area) in Thu Duc City and Binh Thanh District, bounded by: to the East by Hanoi Highway, Road No. 2, Thu Duc City; to the West by National Highway 13, Nguyen Xi Street, Dien Bien Phu Street; to the South by Vo Nguyen Giap Street; and to the North by Pham Van Dong Street.
The competition is organized in two rounds: preliminary and final. The registration period for the competition is from 8:00 AM on June 24, 2024, to 5:00 PM on July 8, 2024. The preliminary selection committee will choose five units (based on the capability profile and preliminary planning ideas) to enter the second round, with the list of selected units expected to be announced on July 22, 2024. The competing units will have 8 weeks to prepare their submissions, with the final round and judging to take place at the end of September 2024, and the results to be announced in mid-October 2024.
