On March 21, a number of construction steel companies announced price increases for D10 CB300 rebar and CB240 coil. D10 CB300 rebar is adjusted with a popular increase of VND 150,000-160,000/ton (excluding VAT), increasing to a price of VND 15.73-16.21 million/ton. CB240 steel coil also increased from 100,000-150,000 VND/ton.
Specifically, according to Steel Online's data, compared with the last adjustment in February, the price of D10 CB300 rebar of Hoa Phat steel brand in the North and the South increased by 150,000 VND/ton, up to 15, respectively. 99 million VND/ton and 16.03 million VND/ton. In the Central region, Hoa Phat Steel increased by 160,000 VND/ton for D10 CB300 rebar to 15.89 million VND/ton.
Along the same trend, Vietnam Italy Steel also raised 150,000 VND/ton with the D10 CB300 rebar line, to the price of 15.96 million VND/ton.

Similarly, Viet Duc Steel in the North has just adjusted up 150,000 VND/ton with the D10 CB300 rebar line to 15.96 million VND/ton. In the Central region, Viet Duc Steel also increased by 150,000 VND/ton with D10 CB300 rebar, the price increased to 16.21 million VND/ton.
The price of D10 CB300 rebar of Kyoei Steel brand also increased by 150,000 VND/ton. The current price of this product is at VND 15.99 million/ton.
Thai Nguyen Steel adjusted to increase by 100,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil, to 15.86 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 rebar was also adjusted to increase by 150,000 VND/ton, to 15.96 million VND/ton.
Viet Nhat Steel also raised VND 160,000/ton with rebar D10 CB300, to a price of VND 16.04 million/ton.
Southern Tung Ho Steel also increased by 160,000 VND/ton for D10 CB300 rebar. The price of this product is currently at 15.94 million VND/ton.
With an increase of 160,000 VND / ton, D10 CB300 rebar of Northern Viet Sing Steel is currently priced at 15.99 million VND / ton.
Viet My Steel brand in the North raised VND 150,000/ton with D10 CB300 rebar, to a price of VND 15.83 million/ton. In the Central region, Viet My Steel increased by 150,000 VND/ton for D10 CB300 rebar, to the price of 15.73 million VND/ton. In the South, Viet My Steel also increased by 150,000 VND/ton for both CB240 coil and D10 CB300 rebar, priced at VND 15.73 million/ton and VND 15.83 million/ton, respectively.
American Steel brand in the North also increased by 150,000 VND/ton for rebar product D10 CB300, to the price of 15.73 million VND/ton.
Thus, from the beginning of 2023 until now, the price of CB240 coil has had 6 consecutive increases, the price of D10 CB300 rebar has 5 times of upward adjustment, depending on the brand.
The Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) said that the domestic construction steel price has continuously increased recently mainly due to the import price of input materials for steel production such as coal, iron ore, scrap steel, rolled coil. hot... no sign of a decrease in price.
According to VSA, the high price of raw materials caused domestic steel mills to increase their selling prices many times to offset production costs and reduce losses. Iron and steel prices will continue to increase in the coming time due to limited supply of iron ore while demand tends to increase higher.
Contrary to the domestic steel price, in the international market, today's steel price fell deeply. The world steel price for October delivery in October 2023 on the Shanghai Exchange this morning (March 22) fell 39 yuan, down to 4,119 yuan/ton.
