Domestic construction steel price has just been adjusted down for the second time in a row. There are steel brands down to 720,000 VND/ton.
Some steel companies have just announced discounts for rebar products D10 CB300 and coils CB240. Accordingly, the rebar D10 CB300 is adjusted down by businesses from 150,000-720,000 VND/ton (excluding VAT). CB240 steel coil is adjusted down from 210,000-460,000 VND/ton.
Specifically, according to Steel Online's data, compared with the downward adjustment on April 8, the price of CB240 steel coil of Hoa Phat Steel brand in the North this time was reduced by 460,000 VND/ton, to 15 ,2 million VND/ton; Rebar D10 CB300 of Hoa Phat Steel in the North decreased by 310,000 VND/ton, to 15.58 million VND/ton.
In the Central region, Hoa Phat Steel reduced the selling price of VND 430,000/ton and VND 310,000/ton, respectively, with CB240 coil and D10 CB300 rebar, to VND 15.15 million/ton and VND 15.48 million, respectively. /ton.

The above two steel products of Hoa Phat Steel in the South are also discounted. Accordingly, CB240 steel coil decreased by 460,000 VND/ton, to 15.22 VND/ton; Rebar D10 CB300 decreased by 360,000 VND/ton, the price was 15.57 VND/ton.
Following the same trend, Vietnam Italy Steel in the North also decreased by 150,000 VND/ton with the D10 CB300 rebar, down to 15.4 million VND/ton. Vietnam-Italy CB240 coils were also reduced by 300,000 VND/ton, to the price of 15.3 million VND/ton.
Similarly, Viet Duc Steel in the North has just adjusted down by 250,000 VND/ton and 200,000 VND/ton respectively for CB240 coil and D10 CB300 rebar. After adjustment, the price of these two steels is 15.15 million dong/ton and 15.6 million dong/ton, respectively.
Two products of CB240 coil and D10 CB300 rebar of Viet Sing Steel have just been adjusted down by VND 210,000/ton and VND 250,000/ton, respectively, to VND 15.22 million/ton and VND 15.63 million/ton, respectively. ton.
Meanwhile, Pomina Steel brand in the Central region reduced by 640,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil, down to 16.93 million VND/ton and decreased by 720,000 VND/ton for D10 CB300 rebar, down to 16.88 million VND/ton. Thus, the domestic construction steel price recorded 2 consecutive decreases after 5 increases.
Explaining the reason for the decrease in the domestic construction steel price, the steel enterprises said that it was due to the same decrease in the world steel price. Prices of billet and input materials are also in a downtrend.
Moreover, poor consumption is also a major factor affecting steel price movements. According to statistics of the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), in the first two months of this year, finished steel consumption reached only 3.8 million tons, down more than 23% compared to the same period in 2022.
In the international market, steel prices also fell today. The world steel price for delivery in October 2023 on the Shanghai Exchange this morning (April 14) fell 33 yuan, to 3,881 yuan/ton.
