Some steel companies have just announced to reduce prices for D10 CB300 rebar and CB240 coils, pulling the domestic price of construction steel to a popular level of 14-15 million VND/ton.
Specifically, according to Steel Online's data, compared with the downward adjustment on April 12, the price of CB240 steel coil of Hoa Phat Steel brand in the North this time was reduced by 200,000 VND/ton to 15 million VND. /ton; Rebar D10 CB300 of Hoa Phat Steel in the North decreased by 150,000 VND/ton, to the price of 15.45 million VND/ton.
In the Central region, Hoa Phat Steel also decreased by 200,000 VND/ton and 130,000 VND/ton respectively with CB240 coil and D10 CB300 rebar, to the price of 14.95 million VND/ton and 15.35 million VND/ton, respectively. ton.
The above two steel products of Hoa Phat Steel in the South are also discounted. Accordingly, CB240 coil decreased by 170,000 VND/ton to 15.05 million VND/ton; Rebar D10 CB300 decreased by 220,000 VND/ton, down to 15.35 million VND/ton.

Viet Duc Steel brand in the North also adjusted down 200,000 VND/ton and 250,000 VND/ton respectively for CB240 coil and D10 CB300 rebar, to the price of 14.95 million VND/ton and 15.35 million VND, respectively. VND/ton.
Viet Nhat Steel in the North also decreased by 660,000 VND/ton with CB240 coil and 510,000 VND/ton with D10 CB300 rebar. The current price of these two types of steel is 14.92 million VND/ton and 15.12 million VND/ton.
Following the same trend, Kyoei Steel in the North decreased by 300,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil and 410,000 VND/ton for D10 CB300 rebar. After the reduction, the prices of the two products above were VND 14.98 million/ton and VND 15.38 million/ton, respectively.
Southern Steel also reduced 510,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil and 610,000 VND/ton for D10 CB300 rebar. After adjustment, the price of these two steels is 15.22 million VND/ton and 15.43 million VND/ton.
Two products of CB240 coil and D10 CB300 rebar of Viet Sing Steel were also adjusted down by 200,000 VND/ton and 150,000 VND/ton, respectively, to 15.02 million VND/ton and 15.48 million VND/ton, respectively. ton.
Notably, the Pomina Steel brand in the Central region decreased by up to 1.12 million VND/ton for CB240 coil, to 15.81 million VND/ton and decreased by 1.02 million VND/ton for D10 CB300 rebar. , the price was 15.86 million VND/ton.

After three reductions, the price of Hoa Phat's CB240 coil in the North has decreased by 960,000 VND/ton, while the price of Hoa Phat's D10 CB300 rebar coil in the North has decreased by 540,000 VND/ton.
Explaining the reason why the price of construction steel in the country continuously decreased, the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) said that the domestic steel price fell with the world steel price in the context of weak and unstable steel demand. .
Moreover, the price of steel billet and raw materials decreased, causing steel manufacturers to reduce the selling price of finished steel to match input costs.
In the international market, steel prices are on a downward trend. Today's steel price for delivery in October 2023 on the Shanghai Exchange fell 57 yuan, to 3,852 yuan/ton.
