Domestic construction steel price was adjusted down for the 9th time in a row, to 14 million VND/ton.
Some steel companies have just announced to reduce prices for CB240 coil products, with a reduction of 200,000-310,000 VND/ton. Meanwhile, most businesses keep the same price for D10 CB300 rebar.
Specifically, according to Steel Online's data, compared with the downward adjustment at the end of May, Hoa Phat Steel brand in the North this time decreased by 210,000 VND/ton with CB240 coil line, down to 14.49 million VND/ton. ton; D10 CB300 rebar line is still kept at the price of 14.89 million VND/ton.
In the Central region, Hoa Phat Steel decreased by 250,000 VND/ton with CB240 coil, to 14.14 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 rebar is still priced at 14.75 million VND/ton.
In the South, Hoa Phat Steel decreased by 210,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil, down 14.51 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 rebar is still kept at the price of 14.85 million VND/ton.
Following the same trend, Vietnam Italy Steel in the North decreased by 200,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil to 14.22 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 rebar remained unchanged at 14.59 million VND/ton.

Viet Duc Steel's CB240 coil product in the North was also adjusted down by 200,000 VND/ton, to 14.24 million VND/ton. As for the D10 CB300 rebar of this brand, the price remained unchanged at 14.77 million VND/ton.
Similarly, Vietnam Japan Steel also lowered 310,000 VND/ton with CB240 coil, to 14.31 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 rebar is reduced by 100,000 VND/ton, to 14.67 million VND/ton.
Viet Sing Steel in the North adjusted down 210,000 VND/ton with CB240 coil, to 14.41 million VND/ton; Rebar D10 CB300 remained at the price of 14.77 million VND/ton.
Tung Ho Steel brand in the South also reduced by 210,000 VND/ton with CB240 steel coil, to 14.41 million VND/ton; Rebar D10 CB300 remained at the price of 14.77 million VND/ton.
Pomina steel in the Central and the South were adjusted down 200,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil, down to 14.79 million VND/ton; D10 CB300 steel is still at the price of 15.2 million VND/ton.
Thus, from the beginning of the year until now, the domestic construction steel price has recorded 9 consecutive decreases, depending on the brand, the frequency of price adjustment varies. Steel price has dropped to 14 million VND/ton.
Explaining the reason for the continuous decline in steel prices, steel companies believe that domestic steel prices have the same decline as the world. Moreover, the prices of input materials have cooled down.
On the world market, today's steel price for delivery in October 2023 on the Shanghai trading floor increased by 3 yuan, to 3,694 yuan/ton.
