Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park was added by the Prime Minister to the general planning of industrial parks across the country in Official Dispatch No. 1019/TTg-KTN dated July 3, 2008 with an expected planning area of 2,000 hectares.
On November 26, 2015, the Prime Minister agreed to merge Saigon - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park with a planning area of 450 hectares (approved in Official Dispatch 575/TTg-KTN dated April 21, 2008) into the Industrial Park. Becamex - Binh Phuoc, accordingly, the area of Becamex - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park after merger is 2,450 hectares.
