24 industrial park and economic zone projects with more than 4.6 billion USD calling for investment in the period of 2021 - 2025
Recently, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh signed Decision 1831/QD-TTg promulgating the national list of projects calling for foreign investment. In which, 24 projects related to infrastructure of industrial parks and economic zones have a scale of 26,075 hectares, with a total investment capital of up to 4.65 billion USD, calling for investment in the period 2021 - 2025.
At the decision, there are 157 projects calling for foreign investment in the period from now to 2025 in the fields of: Traffic infrastructure; infrastructure of industrial zones and economic zones; energy infrastructure; information technology infrastructure; waste and waste water treatment systems; education and health infrastructure; cultural, sports and tourism infrastructure; agriculture, forestry and fishery industries; manufacturing and service sectors.

Specifically, in the North, there are 5 projects, including construction and infrastructure business of Ninh Co economic zone, Hai Hau district, Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province (area 13,950 ha, total investment capital of one billion USD); Industrial - urban - service zone along the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway in Huu Lung district, Lang Son province (5,000 ha, 100 million USD); infrastructure of Van Ho Industrial Park, Son La (240 ha, 73 million USD); infrastructure of Muong So Industrial Park, Phong Tho District, Lai Chau (220 ha, 65 million USD); Quyet Thang Industrial Park, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen (105 ha).
In the Central region, there are 6 projects calling for foreign investment capital. Specifically, infrastructure of Hoa Ninh Industrial Park, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city (400 ha, 265 million USD); Container terminal (Wharf No. 7, 8), Chan May port area, Thua Thien Hue (20 ha/berth, USD 174 million); technical infrastructure of Hon La Industrial Park II, Hon La Economic Zone, Quang Trach District, Quang Binh Province (180 ha, 100 million USD); infrastructure of Phu Binh Industrial Park, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong (246 ha, 85 million USD); Phu Da Industrial Park, Phu Vang District, Thua Thien Hue (165 ha, 50 million USD); Industrial Park for manufacturing raw materials for garment industry, in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Quang Nam (200 ha; 30.4 million USD).
The southern region has the most with 13 projects, including: Infrastructure of the Northern Industrial Park in Ben Luc District, Long An Province (1,500 ha; 1.74 billion USD); infrastructure of Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Tan Lap 1 Commune, Tan Phuoc District, Tien Giang (470 ha, 475 million USD); non-tariff zone, Dinh An economic zone, Tra Vinh (501 ha, 143 million USD); Industrial - urban - service zone in Lap Vo district, Dong Thap province (500 ha to 1,000 ha, 130 million USD); Tan Phuoc 2 Industrial Park, Tien Giang (300 ha, 110 million USD); Expanded Binh Long Industrial Park; Chau Phu district, An Giang (120 ha, 50 million USD); Lang Tram Industrial Park, Gia Rai town, Bac Lieu (US$39 million; area of 103.53 ha, of which industrial park 94.19 ha; resettlement area and worker housing 9.34 ha); Bonded warehouse area, Dinh An economic zone, Tra Vinh province (101 ha, 29 million USD); Giao Hoa Industrial Park, Giao Hoa Commune, Chau Thanh District, Ben Tre (248.51 ha); Phuoc Long Industrial Park, Giong Trom District, Ben Tre (182.32 ha); Non-tariff zone Nam Can economic zone, Ca Mau (800 ha); Song Hau Industrial Park, Soc Trang (286 ha); My Thanh Industrial Park, Soc Trang (217 ha).
In addition, in the period of 2021 - 2025, Vietnam also invites investment in a number of information technology infrastructure projects such as: Dedicated factory area, ICT auxiliary, Da Nang concentrated information technology park (57, 7 ha; 217 ha); Data center and office complex, information technology exhibition and display area, Da Nang concentrated information technology park (8.7 ha; 158 million USD); technical infrastructure of Da Nang concentrated information technology park (210 ha; 73 million USD);
