The stock market on June 16 was flooded in green and at the same time, foreign investors also returned to strong net buying.
Closing the session on June 16, VN-Index increased by 22.7 points to 1,236.63 points. Trading volume reached more than 561.6 million shares, equivalent to more than 14,749.2 billion dong. The whole floor had 298 stocks of increasing price, 154 stocks of decreasing and 52 stocks of standing still.
HNX-Index increased 4.52 points to 287.77 points. Trading volume reached more than 66.6 million units, equivalent to more than 1,502 billion dong. The whole floor had 114 stocks of gaining, 84 stocks of decreasing and 47 stocks of standing still.
UPCOM-Index increased 0.6 points to 89.25 points. Trading volume reached more than 50.6 million units, equivalent to more than 1,271.2 billion dong. The whole floor had 162 stocks of increasing price, 124 stocks of decreasing and 52 stocks of standing still.
The first strong bull market belonged to the group of large-cap stocks. In the VN30 stock basket, there were 26 gainers and only 3 decliners and 1 standstill. Notable gainers were: MWG increased by 6.9% to the ceiling price of 79,000 VND/share.
Today is the ex-dividend date to receive MWG's 2021 dividend. Specifically, Mobile World Investment Joint Stock Company (stock code: MWG) is preparing to pay a 100% stock dividend. After the issuance, the company's charter capital will double from about VND 7,320 billion to VND 14,640 billion.
Other strong gainers in the VN30 basket were: POW up 6.2%, HPG and VNM both up 5.4%, MSN up 4.4%, GAS up 3.2%...
Banking codes were also positive with green color prevailed. Some typical stocks such as: SSB up 5.4%, VBB up 3.7%, VCB up 3.4%, SGB up 3.1%, ACB up 2.1%...
Along with that, the group of insurance stocks increased sharply. The tickers BIC increased by 3.6%, BLI increased by 2.9%, BVH increased by 1.9%, BMI increased by 1.8%, PVI increased by 0.4%.
Green color spread in the group of chemical stocks. Notably, CSV and HPH hit the ceiling. The tickers DAG, DCM, DDV, DGC, DPM… increased strongly.
On the other hand, securities stocks continued to fall deeply. Pillar stocks such as: SSI down 2.2%, MBS down 3.2%, CTS down 5.5%, VND down 6.7%.
After yesterday's net selling session (June 15), foreign investors returned to be a strong net buyer today. Accordingly, foreign investors net bought 695.46 billion dong on HOSE and nearly 11 billion dong on HNX. On UPCOM-Index, foreign investors also net bought 53.37 billion dong.
