Accordingly, steel Viet Duc, Hoa Phat, Viet Italy, Pomina... simultaneously increased prices nationwide for construction coil and rebar products at an average of 150,000-200,000 VND/ton (excluding tax) VAT).
In this adjustment, Pomina steel is the brand with the strongest increase of 450,000 VND/ton with D10 CB300 rebar to 16.24 million VND/ton; CB240 coil to 15.33 million VND/ton after increasing 250,000 VND/ton.
In the North, Hoa Phat adjusted to increase by 190,000 VND/ton and 150,000 VND/ton for CB240 coil and D10 CB300 rebar. After adjustment, the price of these two steels is 14.82 million VND/ton and 15.43 million VND/ton.
In the southern region, Hoa Phat increased rebar D10 CB300 and kept the price of CB240 coil unchanged.
Similarly, Vietnam Italy steel increased by 150,000 VND/ton and 200,000 VND/ton, respectively, with two grades of CB240 and D10 CB300 to 14.72 million VND/ton and 15.22 million VND/ton, respectively. Viet Duc Steel adjusted to increase 80,000 VND/ton and 280,000 VND/ton to 14.72 million VND/ton and 15.43 million VND/ton with the above two types of steel.
Thus, this is the second consecutive increase of steel prices after 15 declines since May 11. The total increase after two adjustments is nearly 1 million VND/ton, depending on the brand and type.
Talking to Zing, a Coteccons representative said that steel has turned to increase again in the context that other groups of construction materials are on an upward trend. In fact, the steel market is waiting for positive signals in the fourth quarter because traditionally this is the period when steel demand increases when construction works rush to speed up progress.
