In 2023, Vietnam had a total of 13 industrial park infrastructure investment projects approved by the Prime Minister, with a total area of about 3,858 hectares. Currently, there are 416 industrial parks established nationwide, with a total natural land area of approximately 129.9 thousand hectares. The industrial land area is about 89.2 thousand hectares.
Among the established industrial parks, 296 IPs are operational, with a total natural land area of about 92,200 hectares and an industrial land area of about 63,000 hectares. There are 119 industrial parks under construction, with a total natural land area of about 37.5 thousand hectares and an industrial land area of about 24.7 thousand hectares. The total industrial land area leased out of the IPs nationwide is about 51.8 thousand hectares, with an occupancy rate of about 57.7%. For the operational industrial parks, the occupancy rate is about 72.4%.
Industrial parks have demonstrated their important role in contributing to the total budget revenue, creating jobs, and enhancing Vietnam's competitiveness in the process of economic integration into the world. Dong Nai, with 31 operational industrial parks and an occupancy rate of about 84%, is the province with the largest operational industrial park in the country. Bac Ninh leads in the number of operational industrial parks in the North with 15 industrial parks. Hung Yen possesses the largest industrial land reserve planned for development in the country.

VSIP 2 Industrial Park
The VSIP 2 Industrial Park was established by the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company in 2006 with significant investment capital. Over many years of development, this IP has firmly established its position in Binh Duong province and surrounding areas. It is one of the industrial parks contributing to making Binh Duong the province with the largest industrial park in Vietnam.
The VSIP 2 project has a total area of 2,045 hectares and was developed in two phases: phase 1 in 2006 with an area of 345 hectares and phase 2 in 2008 with an area of 1,700 hectares. Currently, VSIP 2 has utilized 98% of its area, attracting 128 investment projects from over 22 countries and territories, creating jobs for 23,800 workers with a total investment capital of 1.3 billion USD.

Enterprises in VSIP 2 mainly operate in fields such as printing equipment, paper, packaging, seeds, electronics, medical equipment, electronic components, and food. The location of VSIP 2 is very advantageous, located in the center of Binh Duong province, 39 km from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, about 40 km from Ho Chi Minh City center, 47 km from Saigon Port, and 45 km from Thong Nhat station, facilitating the transportation and import-export of goods for enterprises.
