On August 10, 2006, Phu My II Industrial Park was approved for planning according to Decision No. 1130/QD-UBND dated August 10, 2006 of the Ministry of Construction with a planning area of 620.6 hectares, within the administrative boundary. Currently, Phuoc Tan Ward and Phu My Ward, Phu My Town, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province.

On September 15, 2021, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province approved the Decision to locally adjust the 1/2000 scale subdivision of Phu My II Industrial Park according to Decision No. 2785/QD-UBND. According to the adjustment content, the area of industrial land for lease in Phu My II Industrial Park was adjusted to increase from 388.93 hectares to 425.49 hectares (Including land area for factory construction and warehouse land area). .
