Phu My II Industrial Park was established under Decision No. 1729/CP-CN of the Prime Minister dated November 18, 2004 and Decision 2089/QD-UBND dated June 29, 2005 of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. .

On September 15, 2021, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province approved the Decision to locally adjust the 1/2000 scale subdivision of Phu My II Industrial Park according to Decision No. 2785/QD-UBND.
